Swedish Chicken Meatballs in Cream Sauce

This is a recipe of chicken meatball in cream sauce that you will like forever. It is chicken version of Swedish meatball as most Swedish meatball is made of beef or pork. I used minced chicken breast as it is healthier and you will never feel the difference from thighs, however chicken thigh could be more flavor and less dryness if you like. These fried chicken balls are full of spices and flavor and marinated in delicious cream sauce are great homemade dinner recipe that can be served with mashed potato or sauté vegetables.

 Ingredients for Chicken Meatballs (make 12 1-inch balls):

1 lb Ground Chicken
1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
1/2 Onion, minced or grated
1 Egg
1 1/4 tsp Paprika
2 Garlic cloves, minced
dry or Fresh chopped Parsley
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
1/3 cup Flour (for coating)
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter (for frying)

Ingredients For the Sauce:
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
2 Tbsp Flour
2 1/2 cups Chicken Broth
1/3 cup Heavy Cream
Salt and Black Pepper
Fresh chopped Parsley
Swedish Chicken Meatballs in Cream Sauce

- In a big bowl place the ground chicken, minced onion,
minced garlic cloves, chopped parsley, egg, and the bread crumbs.
- Season them with the salt, black pepper, and paprika, Mix well until all combined.
- Form into balls by using the cookie scooper or your hands. (I used the 3 Tbsp cookie scooper)
- Roll the chicken balls in a flour. that give them a golden coat after they fried.
- In a pan heat 2 Tbsp of butter over medium heat. Fry the chicken balls for about 3-4 minutes for each side until golden brown and remove from the pan.  
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same pan add another 2 Tbsp of butter, and melt it. Add the flour and mixing until golden in color, continue mixing while you add the chicken broth wait till the sauce start to thicken then add the whipped cream. season with salt and black pepper, stir. 
- Simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes. transfer the chicken balls to the sauce, cover the pan and continue simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
 - Add Fresh chopped parsley, and remove from heat. ENJOY!
