Wonderful Recipe for Challah Bread - 4 Easy Ways to Braid or Shape Challad

Homemade Challad bread is one of the most incredible soft and tastiest bread you can have. There is a lot of different techniques to shape this bread, I can show you 4 techniques to braid these loaves in this video. This recipe can make 4 Challads.

8 Cups Flour
7 Tbsp White Sugar
2 Tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Dry Yeast
4 Eggs
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
2  1/4 Cups Warm Water

Garnish :
1 Egg

- In a big mixing bowl or into the standing mixer bowl add the flour, sugar, and then add the other wet ingredients, mix them for 5 to 7 minutes it should be nice and sticky.
- Transfer the dough into a big mixing bowl that has been sprinkled with flour.
- Cover it with a plastic wrap to raise in size for 1 hour.
- Cut the dough into 4 equal parts, pull the dough from the top down to get a round shape, repeat these steps for all four loaves. 
- For every loaf, braid each in a different shape, for 3 of them I will do a 3 strands braid, and the last loaf I will do a 6 strands braid (see the video).
- After you braiding them all, set the braided loaves in the prepared baking sheet, cover the loaves with a towel, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Brush the top of each Chalad with the beaten egg.
- Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes. Enjoy!
